MY STORY
I Was Bald.
Now My Hair Touches My Waist.
I didn't create Minney Boss from a place of confidence. I created it from a place of healing. When I was going through depression, my hair care was the first thing to go. I stopped showing up for myself — and my hair paid the price. It matted. It knotted beyond saving. And eventually, I had to shave it all off.
That moment could have broken me. Instead, it became my reset. Starting from scratch, I had to relearn everything — how to care for my natural hair, what my curls actually needed, and why so much of what the industry was selling us simply wasn't built for us. As a Black woman in STEM, I went deep into the research and formulated my own answers.
What grew back wasn't just my hair. It was my confidence, my identity, and a brand born from real experience. Now my hair touches my waist — and thousands of women are writing their own version of this story.
